By participating in Spiti AI, you agree to abide by our core technical and expedition rules:
1. Team Size Limit: Teams must consist of at least 2 members and a maximum of 5 members. Solo hackers are not permitted for safety and collaboration reasons during the physical expedition.
2. Fresh Code Only: All project code, design, and logic must be written during the hackathon period. You may not submit a pre-existing startup or a project developed prior to the event.
3. Open Source & Apis: You are completely free to use open-source frameworks, public libraries, third-party APIs, and pre-trained foundation models (e.g., HuggingFace, Llama, OpenAI). In fact, leveraging on-device LLMs (LocalAI, Ollama, MLX) is highly encouraged to meet the offline requirements of the tracks.
4. Expedition Conduct: Because this hackathon takes place during a physical road trip through extreme geographical terrain, all participants must strictly adhere to the instructions of the expedition leaders. Any violation of mountain safety protocols, environmental degradation (littering), or disrespectful behavior towards host communities/teammates is grounds for immediate disqualification.
5. Intellectual Property: Your team retains 100% ownership of everything you build. Spiti AI claims no IP rights over your code, idea, or future company.
6. Judging Finality: All decisions made by the judging panel regarding technical merit, practicality, and track alignment are final. Ensure your demo video clearly highlights your technical accomplishments!
